EATS Version 1.5 - December 8th
Friday, December 01, 2006
The brand-new EATS 1.5 is in testing for all of our EATS clients. It combines a sleek, polished new interface with a few great new features that were requested by some of our EATS family members. While there's still lots more to come, we're all really excited to unveil these great features for our members.
EATS 1.5 will be fully up and running live on Friday December 8th, and for the time being it's in testing mode for all of the EATS systems to check it out and give us some feedback. Here's a summary of what we've changed.
The new interface was designed with beauty in mind, but it also promotes ease of use; error messages will now be more obvious to users, and the menus are a bit more intuitive. There's still more to come; once EATS puts on its tux you'll really be blown away. It cleans up real nice.
We have built in the ability to limit the number of any product. This means that if you want your customers to be able to order only 2 of any given entree, or 4 of any given extra, you can set these variables. If you have, for example, a lobster dinner and you want to limit orders of this meal to 1 per customer, you can set that meal individually and have your general limits apply to everything else. You can also set gift certificates, for example, to 0 (unlimited) and leave everything else limited.
Under the Orders section, there is now the ability to print all packing slips, invoices and other lists at once instead of one by one. We will be adding more list options soon.
We have added a new customer report that outputs carious customer details to a CSV file, compatible with Quickbooks and Excel.
The CMS content editor will now display the proper fonts and colours for your website; no more guesswork when it comes to coloured headers.
The support tab has been built out; it contains a Manual and a few more pieces of support information. There's more coming soon.
We are always building more features for EATS. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to see, send us an email at sales@eatsolution.com. We'd love to hear any suggestions you have.
With love,
The EATS Team
